MISSION CITY PRAYER

Believing Firmly In The Power Of Prayer

2020 FEBRUARY 19 | PRAYER MEETING |

Our next church-wide prayer meeting is coming up on Wednesday, February 19. We would like to invite you to join us as we pray for the Lord’s wisdom regarding the possibility of planting a church in Simcoe. For this prayer meeting, we will gather at the Best Western Hotel in Simcoe from 7:00-8:30pm (MAP)

Our desire is to spend time together in prayer but, as elders, we also want to give the opportunity for you to ask questions you might have related to planting a church. So in order for us to steward our time well at the prayer meeting, and for us to answer your questions as best we can, please submit your questions online by Wednesday, February 12. You can submit your questions HERE. Again, we hope that this will enable us to provide as much clarity as possible. Then, we will do our best to answer those questions at the prayer meeting on February 19. Please keep in mind that this will be a prayer meeting first, but we want to make space for the beginning of some conversation around any questions you might have.

Details:

  • Time:         7-8:30pm
  • Date:          February 19
  • Location:  Best Western Hotel in Simcoe from 7:00-8:30pm (MAP)
Prayer Meeting Questions

At Mission City, we believe firmly in the power of prayer.

We believe that prayer makes a difference.
By God’s grace, we are convinced of these truths:

  • Apart from Jesus Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5)
  • We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on Him (2 Chronicles 20:12)
  • God will bless those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied (Matthew 5:6)
  • We do not have because we do not ask, so we will ask with the desire that God will be glorified as He provides (James 4:2-6)
  • God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5-7)

PRAYER MEETINGS

Our prayer meetings are intentionally vertical. In a spirit of humility, we long for the glory of God to fall upon us and change us, our families, our city, and our country in ways that only God himself can accomplish.

Mission City Prayer Meetings are usually the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm.   Check out our EVENTS page to find out when our next prayer meeting is.

NOTE:  We encourage you to bring your children, and we will have a family friendly section in the Worship Centre for you to sit with your kids.
